Dementia Carers' Café

We run a Carers' Café on Zoom and also at The Whitaker, which is specifically aimed at those Carers who care for someone living with dementia.

Carers have a tough time and the Carers' Cafes aims to provide social time with other carers who may be experiencing similar challenges, or who can offer advice or tips.

Each Café session has a theme and provides information, which we hope will be useful, together with time for socialising.

The Carers' Café is run by our Trustee Rachel Yates Hoyles, who has many years of experience working with and improving the lives of  people living with dementia and their carers.

The Carers' Café is free to attend. Please see our What's On page for dates.

Carers who attend our Café have produced a Rossendale Dementia Carers' Strategy and a  Carers' resource to help others who may be trying to gain support or information about caring for a person living with dementia.

These tips were produced by our Carers to support a new Carer needing support.
